Monday Skills Clinics
These are 60-minute, position-specific training sessions designed for focused reps, detailed feedback, and real skill development in a small-group setting.
Each evening has a specific skill focus, with one time slot allocated for middle schoolers (current 6th-8th graders) and one time slot allocated for high schoolers (current 9th-12th graders). The sessions available are:
SETTING
Working directly with Erin, athletes learn our method in the three foundational aspects of setting: handwork, footwork, and eyework. The key for us is building repeatable patterns that allow the athlete to not just “set the ball” but learn to play the position of setter at a high level. We keep these sessions limited to 3 athletes in a group.
HITTING
Hitting sessions have a dual focus. Part of the session works the athlete through throwing and controlled attacking reps to improve armswing mechanics. Improving their armswing allows players to hit harder, with more control, and put less stress on their shoulders. The other part of the session teaches the foundational approach footwork patterns for attacking in serve receive and transition. These sessions are limited to 6 athletes in a group.
DEFENSE
Defensive small-group sessions are focused less on team systems and more on individual defensive skills that can be applied to any team system. Players learn how to push and drive to the ball, dig underhand and overhand, and how to extend and play the ball with the different floor skills that are important for us. These sessions are limited to 4 athletes in a group.
SERVE AND PASS
We train these skills together, with athletes alternating between individual serving instruction and individual passing instruction. Passers work on how to form their platform, how to track and move to the ball, and how to create good angles to control the ball to target. Servers work on their toss, footwork, and contact to deliver a serve with power and accuracy. These sessions are limited to 4 athletes in a group.

April 20th: Hitting and Setting (sign up for one, groups are split for part of the time and setters work with hitters for part of the time)
May 4: Defense
